What we hold to be true...

On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for ALL peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines strained clear. And he will destroy on this mountain the shroud that is cast over ALL peoples, the sheet that is spread over all nations; he will swallow up death forever. Then the Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces, and the disgrace of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.

We exist to

Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples

Jesus Christ - We believe Jesus is God's son, sent by God to become human like us. In his life and being he broke through the prison of sinfulness and thus restored the relationship of love and trust that God intended to exist between himself and his children.

The Bible - We believe the Bible is "the manger in which the Word of God is laid." While Lutherans recognize differences in the way the Bible should be studied and interpreted, it is accepted as the primary and authoritative witness to the church's faith.

Sacraments - We believe in two Sacraments as God-given means for penetrating the lives of people with his grace. Although they are not the only means of God's self-revelation, Baptism and Holy Communion are visible acts of God's love.

The Trinity - We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Sin - We believe that all people live in a condition which is the result of misused freedom. "Sin" describes not so much individual acts of wrongdoing as fractured relationships between the people of creation and God.

Salvation - We believe our salvation is through the work of Christ alone -- through the power of His cross and resurrection.  We believe that we participate in Jesus' salvation on this side of the New Creation when we trust that in Christ our sins are forgiven and the world is reconciled to Him through His saving work.
