Children
St. Stephen Lutheran Church is dedicated to raising families in faith to follow Christ together. We hold Sunday School classes for all ages from pre-school (age 3) through adult. These classes are held at 10am Sunday mornings during the regular school year. We invite everyone and anyone who would like to participate in learning about Jesus Christ and what it means to live in a resurrection faith!
Sunday School Curriculum
St. Stephen uses a curriculum called “Akaloo” which is a Greek derivative meaning “to follow” and is based around Jesus’ call for us to follow him as his disciples. The curriculum is used along with special holiday lessons that highlight significant church holidays and allows our kids to celebrate their faith together! At St. Stephen we focus on faith in the family and encourage our students and parents to bring their lessons home and continue the learning every day by sharing highs and lows, reading scripture, talking about the lessons, pray together, and offer blessings to each other! Along with classroom time, we have three All Kids Celebrations throughout the year as we kick-off the fall, winter, and spring semesters! These celebrations are lead by Pastor Nathan and Kenny with live music and lots of fun! Children and parents can participate online as well at www.akaloo.com with games and lessons each week!
Special Events
We believe that being a disciple of Christ should be fun and exciting and we don't want that to end after Sunday morning. So we hold special events throughout the year to keep the energy high and allow our students and families to build in their relationships with each other. Our events are open to all those who would like to share in our community of Christ, so "Bring a Friend!" Our special events include:
- Rally Sunday (Sunday school Kick-off)
- Sunset Cinema at Cranes Roost Park presented by St. Stephen
- Trunk or Treat
- Christmas Ornament Workshop
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Vacation Bible School
- And so much more!!!!!
